Bristol Bay Borough Assembly
On November 2, 2020, the Bristol Bay Borough Assembly approved unanimously a $15,000 donation to assist in funding the Mug Up exhibition. Specifically, these funds will support Contributions from the collective experience and knowledge of individuals who live and work in Bristol Bay. They include:
Bristol Bay Fishermen and composer, Matthew Burtner, who will produce the exhibition soundscape.
Renown filmmaker and Naknek resident Anna Hoover, who will produce a short film The Rock about former NN Cannery superintendent and her grandfather, Norm Rockness.
Famed Naknek net-hanger Marcia Dale, who will produce the wooden cork commemoration installation.
Community organizers and Naknek resident Sharon Thompson, who will edit three short video pieces for the exhibition.
